Indoor Spaces

The space is key!  We get it! Choosing the right villa with the right indoor spaces for differing purposes over a huge resort for your company retreat is like unlocking a whole new level of tailored comfort and team bonding.  Picture your team in an exclusive villa, away from the usual resort crowds.

We are all about making your experience uniquely yours – no generic vibes here. Plus, you’re not just following the usual retreat routine; you’re creating your own.

You need a mix of spaces for brainstorming, team-building, and downtime. So, it’s not just a retreat; it’s your team’s retreat, designed to leave everyone refreshed and tighter than ever.

Outdoor Spaces

Outdoor spaces play a crucial role in the success of a retreat, especially in a tropical island setting by providing participants with opportunities for relaxation, inspiration, physical activity, community building, and holistic wellness. As a retreat planner, it’s essential to carefully consider and leverage the natural environment of the tropical island to create meaningful and transformative experiences for your clients.

Connection with Nature: Outdoor spaces provide participants with an opportunity to connect with nature, which can have a calming and rejuvenating effect on their minds and bodies.

Relaxation and Stress Reduction: Outdoor environments often evoke a sense of tranquility and serenity. Being surrounded by natural elements such as the sound of waves, the sight of palm trees swaying in the breeze, and the feel of warm sunlight can help participants relax and reduce stress levels. This conducive atmosphere encourages mindfulness and allows individuals to focus on their inner thoughts and emotions.

Inspiration and Creativity: Outdoor settings can stimulate creativity and inspire new ideas. The beauty of the surroundings can ignite participants’ imagination and encourage them to think outside the box. Retreat activities held in outdoor spaces, such as brainstorming sessions, group discussions, or artistic endeavors, can benefit from the inspirational backdrop of nature.

Physical Well-being: Engaging in outdoor activities such as yoga, meditation, hiking, or swimming can promote physical well-being. These activities not only encourage movement and exercise but also provide opportunities for participants to connect with their bodies and improve their overall health.

Community and Connection: Outdoor spaces facilitate opportunities for participants to interact with each other in a relaxed and informal setting. Whether it’s gathering around a bonfire, sharing stories under the stars, or enjoying a group picnic on the beach, outdoor environments foster a sense of community and connection among retreat participants.

Integration of Mind, Body, and Spirit: In a tropical island setting, outdoor spaces allow for a holistic approach to wellness that integrates the mind, body, and spirit. Participants can engage in practices such as meditation, mindfulness, and yoga amidst the natural beauty of their surroundings, promoting a sense of harmony and balance within themselves.

About Isla Mujeres

Transportation will be coordinated to pick you up at the airport in Cancun and transfer you to the Ultramar ferry in Puerto Juarez. I have worked with this company since 2010 and send them all of my business so they take great care of my guests. We are also personal friends and we work as a team whenever there are hiccups or delays. All that to say, nothing to worry about. The name of the transfer company is At Your Service Cancun.

Safety : Isla Mujeres is a 5 mile island with low to no crime. Crime of opportunity is pretty much all that we have. We know bad things happen everywhere, but for the most part, don’t buy drugs, don’t join a cartel, don’t drink and drive, don’t leave belongings unattended… you’ll be fine. There is a Navy Base on the island that is also a training facility so an extra layer of security. Also, if you were a criminal on a 5 mile island, where would you go? All that to say, I have lived here for 13 years. Be smart.

Money : We do operate on Mexican Pesos, but most places do accept USD, but a very low exchange rate. If you bring USD, you can exchange it on the island for pesos. Credit Cards are not widely accepted, but it is becoming more available. Most of your costs will be taken care of through me to provide more convenience.

However, even during the rainy season, Isla Mujeres is a beautiful and welcoming destination, and visitors can still enjoy plenty of sunshine and warm temperatures.
Hurricane season in Isla Mujeres, Mexico, runs from June 1st to November 30th each year. The Mayan history of the island is prominent even today, however was once called Ekab. What’s left of the Temple is located at the South point of the island.
The island is about 5 miles long and less than a mile wide in some areas. You can feel safe knowing that the Naval Base located on the island is also a training facility.
